Modernising a heritage brand for future success.
The business challenge
Wilton & Bain are a brand on the move. Since being established in 2001, the team has grown in size, scope and geography. The managing partners were keen to keep their heritage logo but evolve the brand to be representative of where they are now as a multi-brand company and their ambitions for the future.
Our creative translation
To ensure this rebrand would deliver everything Wilton & Bain needed it to, we kicked off the project with our D.E.E.P Dive™ brand workshop. This session was critical to bring together all the managing partners and understand the business history and future ambitions.
We followed our Inside Out™ design process to modernise Wilton & Bain’s existing logo, harnessing their heritage and strong existing reputation. A fresh colour palette was created, illustrating the brand’s multi-service offering; a simple, but striking, way to bring three companies under the W&B name. Initially, the brand was just to be rolled out through their mobile-first web build and business materials but as the project developed, the need to bring their new story to life for employees became clear and we supported our stakeholders with internal sell-in presentations.
To support the sell-in of the new brand to employees we created an animation showing the brand’s evolution. The rebrand was incredibly well received – with cheers ringing out in the conference room.
